We do not keep stock of our items.  When you pay for your order, your item will be placed in line to be produced at that time.  We make items in the order they were paid for, so sometimes it can take up to a week before your piece is even started.  During the Christmas season we typically are 50-70 pieces behind.  Keep this in mind when ordering, and do not wait until the last minute!  We take Christmas orders all year long - in fact, we prefer to take them in the summer.  Our crafts are made with 1/2" Durasmooth plywood and MDF.  They are coated with clear sealant.  This prevents warping from moisture seeping into the wood and protects the paint.  We almost exclusively use glossy housepaint for our projects, which is just another layer of protection for your yard art.  Although this offers a good base of protection, it is vital that you seal your yard art yearly with a clear sealant that can be purchased at Home Depot, Lowes, etc.  The edges are the most important parts to seal, as this is where the damage will begin most of the time.  Do not seal over white painted places -- over time the sealer will cause them to yellow. We use metal stakes (electrical conduit) for our items. Some of our items are made from store bought patterns from many well-known companies such as The Winfield Collection and Sherwood Creations.  However, we are constantly on the look out for something new and different to create.  We do not want to create all the same things every one else is making out there.  Have an idea of your own and need someone to bring it to reality?  We can attempt to turn anything into a wood pattern.  New ideas are always welcome.  We have several hundred patterns between the two of us, and obviously not everything we can make is represented on this site.  Feel free to e-mail us if there is a specific item you want created. Since our crafts are handmade, and not mass-produced, no two are exactly alike.  There may be variations in color or finished look.  They will be similar, but we can not guarantee exact duplicates.  Some times colors will vary - if you have specific colors you want used on your yard art, or would like them to be just like the picture on the website, let us know in the comments section of the order page.  We will do our best to produce your item to your specifications.
